1950s Pragotron wall clock

This 1950s Pragotron wall clock comes from the Czech Republic. It has a nice soft patina to both the dial and the dark bakelite surround. It is 32cm diameter.

This clock retains the original high quality slave clock mechanism and uses an alternating polarity slave clock driver to make it step every minute. It can be driven by batteries or a small mains connected PSU.

So many of these are being converted to Quartz, original versions with a genuine stepping action will become rare. The original mechanism will out last a quartz mechanism by many many years
