Vitascope repairs

My time for repairs is very limited so at times I can have a long waiting list - although currently only a month

Overhaul prices start at: £170

I can give a proper quote when i have examined the clock and you will have the choice on how to proceed

It is very helpful when contacting me if you could send a picture by email of the clock front and back to give me an idea of the general condition. Where I do the full overhaul I can offer a 1 year guarantee against failure due to incorrect workmanship

I can normally return the clock within 3-4 weeks - during busy periods it may be slightly longer

An overhaul involves: -

Strip down and clean and if needed repair the Ferranti mech

Check operation of the main mechanism and repair any wear in the chasis bearing surfaces

Check and correct any internal wiring

Reassemble, oil and check operation

replace colour wheel or individual colours if needed

Test run

Fit replacement cable if required

Clean and polish case where appropriate
